Hurt in a Car Accident? See if You May Be Eligible For a Huge Cash Settlement. If We Don’t Win, You Don’t Pay!

Speakers: Michael Levitis & Gregory Spektor

Michael Levitis: Gregory, I want to ask you a question that happens in real life all the time. How does it work in New York? If let’s say you are a spouse, wife of a husband of somebody who was driving and you were in the car, are you allowed to sue  your own spouse for injuries that happen to you?

Gregory Spektor  18:02

So the law is there is a spousal privilege and as such, you can sue but you’re going to get to the point where there that was depositions and they can’t really if they want to use the spousal privilege to not answer the question they can do. There is a tricky legal matter involved there. Some insurance companies they saw this rather as simply, there is a additional premium that you can purchase, that you can pay to purchase exclusion from the husband, wife privilege,

Michael Levitis  18:47

You can ask your insurance broker to include that in your coverage?

Gregory Spektor  18:51

When you buy coverage areas there’s a certain I mean, I’m not sure if every carrier provides that but a lot of them do. The bulk of your drives and you know that you want to be covered in case something happens then yes, you can go ahead and buy that extra piece of coverage that you’ll pay some extra premium and they’ll just waive the whole as required privileged.

Michael Levitis  19:20

Excellent. Listen, this is very important to know and this is what we do, we educate people on what’s out there because you never know what is gonna happen to you, better be covered before, better be educated more and if God forbid, it happens you remember you watch this video with Gregory Spektor, a premier personal injury attorney and Gregory we have the number of your office on the bottom of screen, if anybody has specific questions about your case, and let’s say, your retained somebody but you want to get a second opinion I don’t think should hesitate. Gregory, would you talk to somebody who already retained an attorney?

Gregory Spektor  20:03

If you’re happy with your attorney, there’s really no need to go around. But if there are problems – absolutely.

Michael Levitis  20:12

Thank you for that. Thank you everybody for watching and please stay tuned to our further sessions on with Gregory Spektor and other attorneys on JurisQ.com. Have a great day. Thank you.

Gregory Spektor  20:22

Thank you, Michael.
